Peter

Born in Höxter as the son of a forester, Peter has been living in Namibia for 40 years. He is a sought-after tour guide and travels across Southern Africa, picking up guests in Johannesburg or Cape Town and bringing them safely, fully refuelled and with countless memories back to the airport — whether Hosea Kutako, Victoria Falls or Oliver Tambo.

Guests describe him as “our Peter, the rock”, someone who is not shaken by any situation, with a wealth of knowledge and explanations, plenty of wisdom about God and the world, politics, history and a little survival training — all seasoned with a sense of humour that is second to none.

For Peter, hunting in the wild in Namibia has become a guiding principle. It began through the palate: at first, he hunted passionately for his own grill and cooking pot, before training as a professional hunter. A true outdoorsman by nature, his adventurous spirit, enormous thirst for knowledge and eagerness to do everything correctly according to hunting ethics mean that it is never boring with him. What tastes best? Which animal is ready, how old is it, what position does it have in the herd — while also correctly observing the legal regulations: everything in its own time! No rush and no panic! His travel guests learn this too.

Iris

Born in Stuttgart, Iris has been living in Namibia and working in tourism for 30 years. Back then, she helped and supported guest farms during their development. It was pioneering work and great fun! Times have changed, and so have the types of accommodation.

They still exist: hosts who lovingly run their guest establishments themselves, tell their stories and take their time. This is what Iris has specialised in — giving you an insight into the heart of Namibia with a “land and people” tour.

With powerful organisational talent, she approaches every new task, can put herself into situations and always has ideas ready. Her patience and special touch for finding the right thing for every traveller have often contributed to very special and unexpected travel memories.

Hanna

Born in Windhoek. With her love of horses from an early age, she has that special something needed to give a horse in her hands the necessary training, walking the path with it and giving it her time and love. She hears and sees with her heart, while also having the determination of her father to describe and address things clearly and sharply. Hanna has been in Germany for training since January 2020. Her love for Namibia draws her home twice a year. The giraffe is not a photo montage. It really exists. She loves kissing people. And anyone who has no problem with that will receive memories like these.

Daniel

In the team, Daniel has always been the one who explores things on his own and brings them to completion, even when others have long since lost interest. He follows the Southwester German plan, as the saying goes: “die Boer maak ’n plan, die Duitser maak twee”, which means something like: “the Boer makes one plan, but the German makes two.” He has certainly learned to make friends with quad bikes, his Kawa Versys, our cars and the young stallion, and to conquer the endless expanses of Africa with them. Caught by the fitness fever, he keeps trying to push his physical limits further. He can already cook for guests using what a healthy body needs — and what tastes good!

From his father, he has inherited his boldness, his calmness and, in addition, an indescribable charm. It is a joy to listen to his stories when he sets off with a bow or a rifle and returns with prey. On foot, of course, stalking — and in a perfectly ethical hunting manner.

In 2022, he completed his exam as an International Sport Massage Therapist with distinction and, after one year of practical experience in Germany, returned to Namibia. He lives in Windhoek and carries out his work with great joy. Daniel picks up our guests from the airport, hands over the vehicles to self-drivers and also brings them back to the airport at the end.

Bernhard

Bernhard Karl Siegfried von Seydlitz-Kurzbach, born in 1951 in Omaruru, is the son of a third-generation farming family. After studying political science at the University of Pretoria, he served as an officer in the South African military, then worked as a newspaper editor and as head of public relations for the Hans Seidel Foundation and the Agra agricultural cooperative in Namibia. As a Namibian diplomat, he was posted in Sweden and Botswana. Since his return in 2012, he has been a tour guide from the heart, with experience in Namibia, South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. He is trilingual: German, English and Afrikaans.

Philippe

Born in 1959 in southern Alsace, Philippe has been in Namibia since ’93 and has 28 years of experience as a tour guide. His mother tongues are Alsatian and French. He speaks German, Afrikaans and English. His special interests are photography, people and nature. Philippe has further experience in Africa in various countries such as Zambia, Togo, South Africa and Somalia. He currently lives in Outjo with his wife and children.
